Chicken Chow Mien

Abstract

This is another of Glenda's recipes

Serves 4


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken fillets (mince or finely chopped)  Mince chicken can also be used.
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/3 shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 cup broken noodles
  • Good splash tomato sauce
  • Good splash HP or Worcestershire sauce
  • Good splash of soy sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoons powdered chicken stock or stock cubes
  • 3 cups water

Method

Add olive oil to a large pot or wok.  Cook onion and minced chicken. 

Add all other ingredients and bring to boil and simmer for approximately 20 minutes until rice is cooked through
